Naked Blue – Thursday, October 21'st (2000)

Thursday, October 21st is the third studio album by American rock band Naked Blue, officially released in the fall of 2000 (simultaneously with their electric LP Shaving Lucky). The record became a landmark in the discography of Baltimore-based duo Jen and Scott Smith, focusing entirely on their acoustic prowess.

The album aims to highlight the duo's acoustic strengths. The focus is solely on Jen's clear, emotional vocals, Scott's virtuosic and detailed acoustic guitar work, and minimalist percussion.

With its warm, analog, and homey sound, the album plays like an intimate live concert in a small coffee shop or an evening around a campfire, earning rave reviews from the local songwriting community on the East Coast of the United States.
