Naked Blue – Wish (1998)

Wish is the second studio album by American rock band Naked Blue, released on January 1, 1998, on the independent label Bluetick Records. The album cemented the recognizable style of the Baltimore duo Jen and Scott Smith, offering listeners a more mature and refined guitar sound than their debut.

The album's sound is a harmonious balance between soft, lyrical folk and assertive alternative rock. Melodic tracks draw on both dense electric riffs and clean acoustic accompaniment. The lyrics focus on personal experiences, self-discovery, and emotional sincerity.

Thanks to the success of the songs on this album and their active touring schedule, Naked Blue solidified their position in the US independent music scene. The group's compositions subsequently began to appear on major television shows (such as The Young and the Restless) and independent films.
