Aleksander Kościów is an expressive artist, building subtle, sophisticated, multidimensional pictures filled with an aura of mystery. The composer willingly experiments with contexts and perception. He translates various cognitive situations into musical matter on a multi-level, carrying a suggestive ideological and aesthetic message.

This album contains the phonographic premieres of six pieces written between 1997 and 2020 for piano (Five Cosmogonic Tales), for violin and piano (Déjà-vus Agonaux and Hyalia), for clarinet and piano (Nenia and Wén fáng sì bǎo) and for soprano and piano (four haiku entitled Shihaikai). It is a repertoire strongly diversified in terms of character and style, the most important common denominator of which seems to be a specific economy of resources and a high level of focus on small (sound) events, seemingly commonplace and unimportant.

Music of the highest quality resounds in the interpretation of outstanding young chamber musicians: Joanna Freszel (soprano), Roksana Kwaśnikowska (violin), Piotr Zawadzki (clarinet) and Łukasz Chrzęszczyk (piano) - the originator of the album. The recording was made by Katarzyna Rakowiecka-Rojsza.
