PThe album Adolphe Gutmann - Chopin's Favorite Student includes the premiere recording of Adolphe Gutmann's four-handed pieces and several of his solo compositions performed by Maria Gabryś-Heyke and Dmitri Ablogin. “Overall, Gutmann's work is graceful, somewhat sentimental, and lyrical. [...] Gutmann's musical imagination was undoubtedly influenced by Chopin's work, mainly in terms of style and adopting the characteristics of texture, melody, harmonics and ornamentation typical of the master "(Ewa Sławińska-Dahlig). Pieces for four hands - waltzes, nocturnes and gallop, despite their popularity in the nineteenth century, have not been published in modern sheet music and have fallen into oblivion. This album restores their salon shine, referring to the atmosphere in which they were created. Gutmann performed many times in the Erard salon in Paris, and the material was recorded on a historic Erard piano from 1848/1849 (serial number 20402), belonging to Maria and Krzysztof Heyke.

The premiere of the set of works for four hands by Adolphe Gutmann, a devoted student and friend of Fryderyk Chopin, should be noted as an event on the record market.
