Nik Turner - Past or Future? (1996)

Past or Future? (1996) is a live album by British saxophonist, flautist, and co-founder of the legendary space-rock band Hawkwind, Nik Turner. It was released on July 1, 1996, via the label Cleopatra Records.
The record serves as a live document, captured during the "Space Ritual" tour of the United States in the summer of 1995. Most of the tracks (12 out of 14) were recorded during a concert at The Great American Music Hall in San Francisco. For this tour, Turner assembled a formidable lineup, which included his former Hawkwind bandmates—Simon House, Del Dettmar, and Alan Powell—alongside musicians from the industrial-rock group Pressurehed. The album also features guest appearances by punk icon Jello Biafra (of the Dead Kennedys) and the cult science fiction author Michael Moorcock. The collection encompasses both Turner’s solo material and classic Hawkwind tracks.
