"Prophets of Time" is the second solo studio album by British space-rock musician Nik Turner, released in 1994 on the Cleopatra Records label. It stands as one of the most experimental and avant-garde works in the discography of the Hawkwind co-founder.
The album was recorded in Los Angeles in late 1993. For "Prophets of Time," Nik Turner joined forces with a host of iconic figures from the American and British underground scenes. Guest contributors on the record include:
• Genesis P-Orridge — leader of Throbbing Gristle and Psychic TV, whose voice features on several key tracks.
• Helios Creed — guitarist for the cult heavy-psychedelic/industrial band Chrome.
• Members of the band Pressurehed (Tommy Grenas and Len Del Rio), who helped Turner construct a dense electronic framework.
• Simon House — a legendary violinist who played with both Hawkwind and David Bowie.
