Biglietto Per L'inferno - Biglietto per l'Inferno (2012 Remaster) (1974)

Biglietto per l'me's self-titled debut album (1974) is the undisputed pinnacle and absolute pillar of the "dark" wing of 1970s Italian progressive rock. Produced by the legendary Eugenio Finardi, the record captured a unique fusion of ferocious, uncompromising hard rock and high-flown, academic polyphony. A 2012 digital remastering, performed from the original analog Trident master tapes, revealed the incredible depth of the sound engineering: it cleansed the dense layers of the double keyboards from compression noise, emphasized the natural dynamics of the drum attacks, and added volume to Claudio Caneali's expressive vocals. The album's concept delves into dark, existential themes of social alienation, religious crisis, and madness.
