Hostsonaten - Autumnsymphony (2011)

Autumnsymphony (2011) is the key, most melancholic, and academically mature chapter in Fabio Zuffanti's seminal four-part conceptual suite, Seasoncycles (dedicated to the seasons and previously represented on the albums Summersymphony and Springsymphony). Recorded with prominent musicians from the Genoese art-rock scene (including flutist Boris Valle and guitarist Matteo Nahoum), the album is an entirely instrumental, cinematic symphonic-prog canvas. The music conveys the atmosphere of autumnal decay, the stormy winds of the Ligurian coast, and profound philosophical reflection.
