Nuova Era - L'ultimo viaggio (2013)

L'ultimo viaggio (The Last Journey) is a monumental deluxe reissue (2013) of Nuova Era's iconic debut album, originally recorded in 1988. Along with Il passo del soldato (1995) and Nuova Era (2010), this record is considered a key release of RPI's "second wave" of the late 1980s, which revived interest in baroque-symphonic art rock after the lull of the disco and new wave eras. The album's concept is a dramatic philosophical parable about the search for meaning and the human soul's journey through the dark labyrinths of the mind. The 2013 reissue was meticulously digitally remastered from the original analog tapes, achieving a spacious acoustic stage and preserving the vintage density.
