Ubi Maior – Bestie, uomini e dèi (2020)

Bestie, uomini e dèi (Beasts, Men, and Gods) is the third full-length album by Milan-based band Ubi Maior, cementing their status as one of the most prominent guardians of the classic Rock Progressivo Italiano (RPI) traditions of the 21st century. The album is a profound conceptual exploration of human nature, mythology, and spiritual decline through the prism of the three hypostases evoked in the title. The musicians flawlessly recreate the passionate, expressive, and dramatic atmosphere of the golden era of Italian prog in the 1970s, infusing it with a modern, powerful sound, virtuosic keyboard passages, and expressive Italian-language vocals.
