Quel Che Disse Il Tuono - Il velo dei riflessi (2020)

Il velo dei riflessi (2020) is the impressive debut of the Milanese band Quel Che Disse Il Tuono (the band's name is inspired by a line from T.S. Eliot's poem "The Waste Land"—"What the Thunder Said"). The album is a monolithic conceptual work exploring themes of self-reflection, human masks, the illusory nature of perception, and inner searching. The record immediately captured the attention of classic RPI connoisseurs thanks to the musicians' ability to combine the canonical sound of 1970s Italian prog with virtuoso technique, modern dynamics, and kaleidoscopic rhythmic shifts.
