Living Stilts is a project conceived and fronted by musician/composer Luca Mavilia. His stated goal is to create evocative soundscapes and letting the listener?s imagination roam.
The project is made with Maria TOMASELLO and Antonio BELLA (vocals), Ben MCGUIRE (acting and translation), Alfredo CASSOTTA (drums and percussion), Vincent SPASARO (lyrics and concept), Luca MAVILIA (kayboards, arrangements, vocals, programming, mixing and mastering). The compositions of their album "Shipwreck" (2014) are inspired by fantastical, fiction and poetry. The music could be compare to the symphonic prog rock of CAMEL with influences from the classical music. The songs are part of suites from a concept about a vessel's sinking in which voices and instrument are chosen in relation to the colour to be given to the music, and so recited pieces, instrumentals and multiple male and female voices abound.
