Codice C (2020) is the self-titled debut studio album by the Italian band Codice C, released by the independent label Lizard Records.
The band was formed by vocalist, composer, and guitarist Cesare Corapese as a project that combines the traditions of classic Italian progressive rock with a contemporary sound.
Melodic, expressive, and emotional, the album draws on classic prog arrangements: distinct Hammond organ, synthesizer canvases, and piano parts intertwined with acoustic and electric guitars. The music is distinguished by its balance between iconic 70s sounds (in the vein of Le Orme and New Trolls) and accessible song structures.
