Il viaggio da farsi (2022) is the third studio album by the Italian band Wilson Project, released by the independent label Lizard Records.
The Florentine band, founded by vocalist and musician Claudio Giannotti, was noticeably influenced by the creative legacy of Steven Wilson and Porcupine Tree, hence the band's name.
Atmospheric, lyrical, and poetic, the music combines soft acoustic arrangements, spatial keyboard canvases, expressive flute parts, and classic Italian vocals. Unlike their heavier British influences, the band's sound on this album veers closer to classic 70s Italian prog (Celeste, PFM) with modern, transparent production.
