The works of the Franco-Polish composer have always played an important role in the training and career of virtuoso pianist Nicolas Horvath, from his competition programs to his discovery by conductor Lawrence Foster. After researching the pre-romantic French repertoire, particularly sonatas by female composers (Brillon de Jouy, Montgeroult, etc.), Nicolas Horvath acquired a solid knowledge of the music and the Parisian artistic scene in which Chopin evolved and a fresh perspective on these Nocturnes, absolute masterpieces which accompanied him throughout his career.
