Joe Nora - Tales of Joy and Wilderness (2026)

Untold is the first single off Joe Nora’s upcoming album “Tales of Joy and Wilderness”, an album made completely in the rural Provence of Shimane, Japan. The song starts with a brooding and moody chord progression that feels hazy and nostalgic as it bobs and weaves around the drums. A patchwork of rhythms and textures of percussion and drums drives the track as Joe introduces little infections melodies and vocal chops that swell and evolve as the track builds. This track is a progressive look into the beat styles that are featured on this album and is a well rounded and accurate depiction of Joe Nora’s beat style demonstrated on this album. The title of the track “untold” starts to introduce the theme of the album as well as a collection of short stories. Inspired by novels and print media, Joe Nora fashions this album after an old well loved paperback book of stories. Each song has its own way it came to be and its own moment in time in which it was created which is in itself a little story. This is but the first untold story off of the project “Tales of Joy and Wilderness.”
