Alarm Will Sound - New Acoustica (2026) Hi Res

Alarm Will Sound's conceptual follow-up to 2005's critically acclaimed Acoustica — itself a bold reworking of the electronic music of Aphex Twin for large ensemble — finds the group taking up the creative challenge once again on New Acoustica, only this time the stylistic scope expands even wider.

Featuring all-new arrangements of music by Aphex Twin and SOPHIE, as well as direct collaborations with King Britt, Jlin, Lucrecia Dalt and more, the recording embodies an entirely fresh and unconventional take on the interpretive power of music in the modern classical sphere. When it comes to reshaping and reimagining electronic sound and how it might be played by acoustic instruments, AWS continues to push limits that other ensembles haven't yet considered.
