Wynn Stewart - In Love (1968)

Wynn Stewart - In Love (1968)

BAND/ARTIST: Wynn Stewart

Singer Wynn Stewart recorded an album of ballads about love in all its forms. Some songs mourn a lost woman (A Tough Row to Hoe), others express love for his country (There’s a Star Spangled Banner Waving Somewhere) and for rhythmic country music (Louisiana Blues Harp Man). The title song, previously released as a single, is full of advice for would-be ladies’ men. Stewart has written and sung about love since his teens, which makes him an expert on the subject. In A Thousand Wonders he praises a woman from his past, and in the sadder Missing You, backed by The Tourists, he shows the tenderness and careful phrasing that made him famous. The album was produced by Ken Nelson.
