Late Aster - Recall, Recall (2026) [Hi-Res]

BAND/ARTIST: Late Aster

Classically trained brass players Aaron Messing (trumpet player, composer, arranger, and producer) and Anni Hochhalter (French horn player and a founding member of the classical chamber ensemble WindSync) have released a joint album, Recall, Recall. It is a rich, almost overflowing work: textured trumpet and French horn parts combine with vocals, guitar, drums, and sensory percussion to create an unusual, distinctive sound. The music keeps shifting from one “dimension” to another, both within individual songs and between them, like wandering across the intricate shapes of a Calabi-Yau manifold. The mood is heady and quirky, close to a Terry Gilliam cut-out animation, yet grounded in spiritual searching in the spirit of Hermann Hesse. Each composition exists as its own world, and the brass parts and the characteristic voices of both musicians tie them together.
