A Million Suns (1993) is the second full-length album by Melbourne band The Killjoys, following their triumphant ARIA Award-winning debut, Ruby (1990). The record captured the band's creative peak, offering a more refined, textured, and academically arranged sound. Combining the light melancholy of Australian jangle pop with rich instrumental layers (violin, cello, clarinet, and screw-thread accordion), the album built a bridge between the independent guitar scene of the Green Continent and the pastoral European avant-folk.
