L'Estate di San Martino – Febo (2007)

Febo (2007) is a historic comeback album by L'Estate di San Martino, a band formed back in 1975 during the heyday of the classic RPI movement, but which failed to release a full-length album during the movement's golden era. More than thirty years after the group's founding, the musicians reunited to record the conceptual album Febo (in honor of the ancient Roman god Phoebus/Apollo, the personification of the sun, light, and poetry). The album is an exquisite example of the modern regeneration of classic Umbrian prog: sonically rich, elegiac, and luminous, it effortlessly connects the poetics of 1970s Italo-prog with the audiophile European sound of the 21st century.
