Livin' With the Blues is a mature, deeply personal work by legendary New York guitarist Danny Kalb, one of the architects of the 1960s Eastern American blues-rock boom and founder of The Blues Project. Abandoning the thunderous electric psychedelia of his youth, Kalb returns to his roots, demonstrating virtuoso fingerpicking and a masterful grasp of guitar dynamics. The album is a seamless synthesis of classic blues standards and original compositions, recorded with academic precision yet a touch of onstage expressiveness.
