Grobschnitt - Razzia (Remastered 2015) (1982)

Razzia (1982), reissued in 2015 as part of a comprehensive archival remaster series overseen by the band members themselves, marks a key turning point in the history of Grobschnitt. On this album, the veterans of German symphonic krautrock radically shifted direction, moving away from the epic, multi-part prog canvases (Solar Music, Rockpommels Land) in favor of the more concise, electronic, and socially engaged sound of the New German Wave (NDW). For the first time in their history, the band completely abandoned English and recorded their material exclusively in German, infusing it with sharp humor, satire, and social critique of the 1980s. The 2015 remaster gave the album a modern dynamic and dimension, highlighting the detailed use of synthesizers.
