Electric Orange - Abgelaufen (2001)

Abgelaufen (2001) is the fourth studio album by the German band Electric Orange, cementing their status as the leading followers and reformers of the classic school of German krautrock of the 1970s. The album's title (translated as "Expired" or "Expired") ironically contrasts with its sound: the band dismantles the familiar canons of modernity and dives into deep, hypnotic, vintage-inspired sonic explorations. The album became a milestone in the band's discography, marking a transition from early electronic experiments to denser, more collaborative instrumental jams and analog improvisations.
