Frammenti (2020) is an intimate and deeply personal solo work by Alfio Costa, the architect of such iconic contemporary Rock Progressivo Italiano (RPI) bands as Fufluns, Prowlers, and Tunnels. Unlike his large-scale group projects, Frammenti (Fragments) is a mosaic of chamber miniatures, unrealized musical ideas, and instrumental essays. The album highlights Costa's compositional prowess, offering a refined, poetic, and academically rigorous soundscape that fuses the traditions of Italian art rock with neoclassical chamber music.
