Live at Rockpalast (Live, Bonn, 2005) is a live album by the legendary German krautrock/folk-prog band Hoelderlin, released by Mig Music (as part of the Rockpalast series). The recording captures the band's reunion concert at the Harmonie Club in Bonn on October 28, 2005, for the renowned WDR music program Rockpalast.
The 2005 concert was one of the highlights of the band's reunion after a long hiatus. Hoelderlin performed key pieces from their classic albums Hölderlins Traum (1972), Hölderlin (1975), and Clowns & Clouds (1976).
Thanks to the impeccable quality of the Rockpalast recording, the concert demonstrates a perfect balance between complex symphonic prog structures, improvisations, and acoustic chamber music featuring violin and alto saxophone.
