Anton Anishchanka - Hłybokaje / Čerbamysła (2026) [Hi-Res]

BAND/ARTIST: Anton Anishchanka

Belarusian sound researcher and electronic music producer Anton Anishchanka presents a conceptual project capturing the acoustic ecosystem of a hydrological reserve in the Vitebsk region of Belarus. Built upon field recordings gathered in mid-June 2023 near the close of the regional nesting season, the album's compositions center on the sounds of local fauna. Tracks are titled after their prominent avian and amphibian sources, including cuckoos, ravens, chiffchaffs, black-throated loons, goldcrests, mew gulls, and pool frogs. The artist constructs a layered sonic landscape where bird choruses and animal calls merge with flowing water and insect hums. Blurring the line between acoustic documentation and artistic manipulation, Anton Anishchanka isolates bird-call resonances and subtly shifts disparate sounds across foreground and background spaces. The project's physical edition features a cassette tape encased within a hand-bound photo book.
