"The Robbery of Murder" (1998) is the third studio album and first concept album by the American progressive rock band Salem Hill (Nashville, Tennessee). It became a key release in the band's discography, cementing their status as a strong force in the American neo-prog scene of the 1990s.

The album tells the dark and tragic story of a young man named David, whose father dies in a car accident caused by a drunk driver. The album's title reflects the central philosophical idea: by taking a person's life, the killer "robs" both death itself and the victim's loved ones, depriving them of a future. The narrative moves through stages of denial, anger, the search for revenge, and, finally, forgiveness.
