British producer Oliver Night releases a third volume of remixes for his album Between The Lines, bringing together artists from the UK's soulful electronic underground. Where the original album fused broken beat, soul and live instrumentation to explore identity, connection and self-reflection, this new remix series carries those themes into soundsystem spaces and late-night dancefloors, foregrounding bruk-rooted aesthetics and bass weight.
London duo 2 Fox, working with vocalist TREV, turns "Run Like The River" into a rich soul-house cut built on live percussion — the product of a collaboration between producer Max Sinàl and Ivor Novello-winning songwriter Renell Shaw, with an accompanying instrumental version also included. Liverpool artist Sticky Dub reworks "Wait & See" into a hazy, nocturnal cut, drawing on broken beat, dub, UK garage and reggae. EVM128, a notable figure in London's broken beat resurgence and the CoOp Presents circle, delivers a rugged "Basement Remix" of "Boss" featuring Roots Manuva, sharpening its bass and percussion. Closing the collection is Alex Phountzi, a founding member of Bugz In The Attic, who reshapes the album's title track into a spacious, rhythmic piece while preserving its introspective core.
