"A Tribute to Motown" is a studio album by The Alan Caddy Orchestra & Singers, originally released in the UK in 1972 by Avenue Records.
The album is a collection of cover versions of the greatest hits of the legendary American soul label Motown, masterfully recreated in the signature orchestral and pop style of the popular British conductor and producer Alan Caddy (former guitarist for The Tornados). It is noteworthy that for these low-budget session albums, Caddy often enlisted then-little-known but talented performers—notably, a young Elton John and vocalist David Byron (of Uriah Heep) participated in the sessions for this album.
