Cord Amato, known for his work with Wow & Flutter and Møtrik, introduces his new project, Slanted Floors, and the debut album Pink Heaven. The record originated from a creative challenge in which the musician recorded daily instrumental sketches in the studio for a month, generating a foundation of 30 ideas. The resulting 10-track album blends elements of psychedelic rock and Krautrock with a calm, dreamlike atmosphere. Contributors to the recording include Amato's former bandmates and his wife, Tammy Heuer. The release is described as a fusion of retro aesthetics and contemporary rock, ranging from meditative compositions to energetic "motorik-Americana."
