"In The Gardens Of Pharao" (originally "In den Gärten Pharaos") is the second studio album by the German group Popol Vuh, first released in 1971. The 2025 release, with rights held by BMG, is a remastered vinyl reissue licensed through Cherry Red Records.
The album is considered a foundational work in the ambient and krautrock genres. It consists of two long compositions. The title track, "In den Gärten Pharaos," combines the sound of the Moog III synthesizer (played by Frank Fiedler) with electronic processing and ethnic percussion (Holger Trülzsch). The second track, "Vuh," was recorded in a church and is a monumental piece where Florian Fricke (the group's leader) combines a church organ with percussion parts.
