She began playing the electric organ at a young age and classical piano at age 11. During her college years, she was exposed to live performances at a jazz club in Tokyo and, with the help of the club staff, began learning jazz. After graduating, she began performing jazz piano solo and with live bands. She honed her skills through collaborations with various renowned musicians.
