Le Trio Joubran - Majâz (2007)

Le Trio Joubran - Majâz (2007)

BAND/ARTIST: Le Trio Joubran

Majâz, meaning "metaphor" in Arabic, is a musical journey inspired by poetry, particularly the works of Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish. The album showcases a more mature and accessible sound compared to their debut Randana, with subtle percussion by Youssef Hbeisch adding lightness and rhythmic depth. The trio’s music conveys emotion through virtuosic improvisations interspersed with moments of silence, balancing joy, melancholy, and pride in Palestinian culture.
