Chris Jasper - Raise The Bar (2022)

When it comes to musical resumes, there aren’t many better than Chris Jasper. A Hall of Fame former member of The Isley Brothers, he wrote mountains of hits for that group before fashioning an enviable solo career. He is also a SoulTracks Readers’ Choice Awards Lifetime Achievement winner, and he continues to win over fans with his combination of old school funk and tender ballads.

Chris has just issued a brand new album, Raise The Bar, and it is a family affair. Both wife Margie and son Michael help out on vocals and programming on the disc, and Chris dedicates various songs on the disc to members of his family, including a special one to Margie on the song “Hey Love.”
