Thammuz - III (2025)

Thammuz's third album, "III," released on May 9, 2025, via Argonauta Records, sees the Dutch heavy rockers exploring a sound that moves from their desert rock origins to a "heavier style of Southern Metal and NOLA sound," as described by Outlaws Of The Sun. The same review notes the album possesses "quite an aggressive lo-fi feeling compared to their previous albums" and praises it as an "excellent record," with "DIY sounding production values" that contribute to a "dangerous album that dedicated followers from the underground scene will no doubt think the same way."

The album is characterized by an "intense fusion of fuzz-drenched riffs, hypnotic grooves, and powerful songwriting," according to Argonauta Records. Stoner HiVe observes that "III" showcases "much growth for the Thammuz four," further stating that their "fuzzy and gritty stoner sound was already written cuneiform on a tablet, but this opens up their view point, widens the vista, both showing a different form of restraint and 1 force." The publication also notes that the album's tracks can shimmer with "beauty and fierceness."
