A.D.A.M (A Day A Month) is a long-standing collaboration between multi-instrumentalist and visual artist Mairearad Green and award-winning composer and producer Mike Vass. For over a decade, the duo has blended ancient Gaelic song melodies with contemporary electronic and ambient soundscapes, culminating in their latest genre-defying album, *Everybody Wants to be Like Mary*. The project involves transcribing traditional Scottish Gaelic songs, including material from archives and living tradition bearers, and arranging them with bagpipes and innovative electronic production inspired by leading instrumental producers like Jon Hopkins and Max Cooper. The album draws key influence from Mary Morrison’s canntaireachd, an oral tradition used by Scottish pipers. Mairearad Green’s bespoke artwork, combining her artistic and musical passions, reflects the cultural richness of her homeland in the Scottish Highlands, adding a modern touch to traditional heritage.
