Hamburg-based composer The Offline has released a new single “Fumée” from his upcoming EP titled Les Cigales. It continues to combine instrumental hip-hop with cinematic influences inspired by music from the 60's and 70's and a special focus on the myth of Marseille. “Fumée” tells the story of two characters searching for each other in the streets of Marseille, using a haunting Rhodes theme and changing rhythms, creating a romantic and dramatic atmosphere. Felix Müller, the creative mastermind behind The Offline, often conveys the warmth and light of Mediterranean landscapes in his compositions, contrasting with the cold of the Hamburg winter. The Offline's work has been supported by platforms such as BBCR6, Rinse FM and Jazz FM, and has many streams and loyal fans. Les Cigales promises to continue creating cinematic soundscapes that are steeped in nostalgia and longing.
