“I have known Raffaele Trevisani over a period of years and do not hesitate to say that he belongs to the best of the flutists of the day. His perfect technique, beautiful singing tone and dedication to the art of music will ensure him a place of honor with the public and his colleagues.” – Sir James Galway
DELOS DEBUTS its first recording with Raffaele Trevisani. Recognized as one of the outstanding flutists of his generation, Trevisani has been praised for his style, musicality and consistently beautiful tone quality. A native of Milan, with a career that has included performances with I Solisti Veneti and celebrated performances in the major halls of Europe, the USA, Russia, South America and Africa, Raffaele has also performed duets with James Galway – whose 14-carat gold Muramatsu flute he now owns. With an outstanding career as both soloist and teacher, Trevisani is in demand globally on the concert stage and as a media presence.
“These concertos are examples of a style with an element of surprise, of questions left unanswered, of great sensitivity and of a warmth that is already Romantic. My interpretations of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach are substantially traditional in many respects; I wanted however to underline the singing, melodic horizontal components which blossoms in a marvelous way.” – Raffaele Trevisani
