"Castelo d'Água" is the third album by Grimório de Abril (Veridiana Sanchez) and the first in Municipal K7, after "The Glass Labyrinth" (Crash Symbols, 2022) and "A Lung Full Of Flowers" (Dream Catalogue, 2020). Sanchez is a dedicated Platonist who shares, in these nine tracks, a musical wisdom where everything runs like an ornamentation of Time. The logical order between the plasticity of sounds and their respective meanings is suspended; What would serve to represent things external to music here inhabits a fluid environment of transparencies and opacities.
Veridiana Sanchez is from Garça, in the backlands of the State of São Paulo, and since the end of the pandemic emergency period she has lived in the capital, where she studies philosophy. She recorded “Castelo d'Água” in both cities between 2019 and 23, and says today that “the composition atmosphere was far from the metropolis”. We invite friends to this journey with an inspired guitarist and singer, a unique instrumentalist in her style of dramatizing the stained glass windows of the public house of sounds.
