It has been almost 9 years since my beloved Octavio left for heaven. Memories that you should have forgotten deep in your heart.
They will never disappear. However, Machiko’s soul started a new journey. Here, in the final chapter of the Mi Oblivion Series, which is dedicated to Octavio, it will keep moving forward.
In this album, I recorded a composition by Osvaldo Golijov, his Hebrew Milonga. It was such a great surprise when I received this music one morning during the Pandemic in NYC. I also recorded Suite Ayacucho, written for this album by Pablo Murgier. At the end of this album, also the end of the Mi Oblivion series, I included an old recording I had done with Urban Tango Trio. This was the very first recording I did with Octavio and bassist Pedro Giraudo in 2008.
Finally, I would like to thank my dearest friend Pablo Murgier, for his great support as a composer and pianist in making this special album. (Machiko Ozawa)
Machiko Ozawa, violin
Pablo Purgier, piano (tracks 1-7)
Octavio Brunetti, piano
Pedro Giraudo, bass (track (8)
