The Stranglers - Miss You (2003)

The Stranglers are a British punk-rock band (Guildford, Surrey), almost one of the few who have been active ever since or at least played music together for a very long time since the punk wave of the mid-seventies. By 1990, a decade and a half and 10 LPs were behind them; and also a watershed, since guitarist frontman Hugh Cornwell left the band at that time.
The others didn't give up, they performed several times in the last couple of years with new members and sometimes renewed.
Two people came to replace the frontman Cornwell, this was the band's second, albeit not very long, era, between 1992-2003.
At that time, The Stranglers had five members, with the small slippage that on the 2003 album, Baz Warne, the later long-term partner, played guitar instead of Ellis, but then Paul Roberts also left, so from then on the band became four members again, with a singer-guitarist frontman at the forefront.

For the Miss You selection, the tracks were selected from three of the five-member group's 4 studio albums and one concert recording. From the concert album (Friday the Thirteenth - which was recorded with the participation of an 18-piece string orchestra in London's Royal Albert Hall), of course the unmissable hits of the previous decades were copied here as well.

It's just a small addition that the band was extremely prolific in both the LP and CD eras: during the production of all their records, they released several singles or They have released a CD single and have almost countless "B-sides" and "non-album" tracks.
