André Duchesne - Ch’val (2023) [Hi-Res]

In September 2018, I was walking ten kilometres every morning and I would often play the guitar when I got home. The Ch’val project was born while thinking about my sister Carole, who passed away in 2010. In February 2020, I started recording every day. I kept working as we all went into COVID mode on March 13. Every morning I advanced, piece by piece, block by block, drums, bass, guitars… The pieces were constructed spontaneously. Nearly finished at the end of March and then put aside, I listened to this music for a long time before deciding to publish Ch’val, 13 pieces for virtual rock band, dedicated to “the one who dreamed of horses.”
