A recording of a one-off session with the Leipzig Gewandhausorchester and Schallplatten in Germany in 1973. Speaking of Markewicz's "Pictures at an Exhibition", the sharp 1953 edition of DG with the Berliner Philharmoniker and the 1983 live performance when he performed with the NHK Symphony Orchestra in his last years. After all, it is this 60-year-old board that symbolizes genius. While based on the heavy sound of a traditional orchestra, the timbre with shadows that is slightly different from Ravel's original color sense makes the listener feel closer to Mussorgsky's natural style.
