Laura Auer - Summer (2022)

In 2022, Laura Auer was inspired to record a large body of work consisting of romantic and heartfelt melodies from the classical golden age, to help lift her listeners from the day to day of the pandemic and revive the soul. Auer captivates audiences of both classical and contemporary music with her 21st century approach to French chanson, opera arias, and the Great American Songbook on “Summer” – her 2nd of a four-part bel canto album series themed after the four seasons and released accordingly. The collection features a mix of favorite classical and crossover vocal repertoire with accompaniments by an impressive lineup of featured artists from around the world.

Repertoire in this series is being recorded at Redstar Recording Studios in Los Angeles CA with 3x Grammy winning producer Tim Sonnefeld (Usher, Elvis Costello, Billy Davis, Jr. / Marilyn McCoo), and features musicians from various countries including Japanese concert pianist Leiki Ueda, Irish superstar flautist, whistler and piper Michael McGoldrick, German classical guitarist Julia Trintschuk, Danish classical guitarist Per-Olov Kindgren, Australian classical guitar and cello duo Boyd Meets Girl, opera’s rising star John Riesen, Canadian cellist Nicholas Yee, and many more.
