“So far, many attempts have been made to arrange jazz and rock with traditional Japanese instruments, such as shamisen, shakuhachi, and koto, and perform them together with Western instruments. In particular, it is an ancient Japanese folk song. There are quite a lot of examples of playing the song with such a method, but this album can be said to be the first epoch-making attempt in that it features the Tsugaru shamisen.” ~
Featured the shamisen from the original liner A funky groove like the one that has become very popular in recent years as a rare mono groove called “AH SO” by Eri Eri. A four-track series of Tsugaru Shamisen, Akira Ishikawa's drumming, and a horn section exploding from the beginning "Tsugaru Jongarabushi" to the first solo of Matsuda Kida Hayashi's solo with African percussion, a distortion that conveys the sound of mystery in the distance. -A historic masterpiece full of pride and spirit that should be called a challenge from Japan to brass rock-jazz rock, even to the last "Tsugaru Aiyabushi" where the guitar is ridiculous!
