Arlie Conner and the Abettors - Ballad of Johnny Ray Finn (2013)

The process started out with the song - "Damned If I Do", which tells the story of a young man writing from his jail cell. The album grew bit by bit until the whole story arc became clear, how Johnny Ray got himself into bank robbing in the first place (the bankers daughter inspired him) and how he suffered through his jail time but got redeemed in the process and emerged a better man in the end.

A wild sonic journey with inspiration from Pink Floyd, the Wallflowers and Motown soul classics, with a modern twist and exceptional playing by Mike Doolin, Mac Potts, Joe Millward, Chris Woitach, LaRhonda Steele, Bill Larimer and others.
