Insieme a John Lee Hooker e Eddie Kirkland, il magnifico ma trascurato Bobo Jenkins è stato una figura fondamentale nella scena blues di Detroit degli anni Cinquana e Sessanta. Chitarrista, cantante e cantautore blues elettrico, Jenkins ha lavorato presso la Packard Motor Company e, inoltre, ha gestito un garage, prima di ottenere un lavoro alla Chrysler, dove ha lavorato per 27 anni.
