The Violent Heart is a 2020 American drama film written and directed by Kerem Sanga. It stars Jovan Adepo, Grace Van Patten, Lukas Haas, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Cress Williams, Jahi Di'Allo Winston, and Mary J. Blige.
It had its world premiere at the Deauville Film Festival on September 9, 2020. It was released on February 19, 2021, by Gravitas Ventures.
John is an award-winning multi-instrumentalist composer-producer with a long list of credits across multiple genres and platforms. He works out of his studio in the famed Laurel Canyon. Swihart's expertise is working with filmmakers to tell their particular stories by supporting their unique sensibilities with the narrative in an artistic and innovative way to create contemporary scores. Swihart says, "The score should resonate with the script and the visuals in a way that every beat of the story drops where it needs to be."
