Eamonn Karran’s love for the piano began at age seven, when his parents bought an upright for the family, and I he gradually taught himself to play. At 13, he purchased his first synthesizer, and over the next few years built a small collection of analogue and digital keyboards while delving into the world of 80s electronic music.
From 1994 to 2011, he played keyboards in many bands and traveled quite a bit performing everything from Irish rock to blues, pop, and rock and at many civil and religious ceremonies.
Nowadays, Eamonn blends his electronic music with flowing piano melodies with influences from how he grew up to create something unique. Everything he composes comes straight from his soul, with the expression of his emotion being the goal for each track. Though he still has a deep appreciation for electronic music, he now draws most his current inspiration from melodic pianists such as Ludovico Einaudi, Yiruma, Phil Coulter and Jim Brickman.
Both personally and professionally, Eamonn has developed into a deeply spiritual person, which has had an immense impact on his musical career. Regularly traveling to the local countryside, Eamonn prioritizes connecting with the earth to draw inspiration from nature and the sounds it creates. He has recognized that the nature around him has a dramatic impact on the music he composes.
Eamonn’s goal is to produce recordings that will help heal and enhance the physical and spiritual wellbeing of others, with the ultimate compliment being that his music has helped someone through a difficult phase in life.
